Slug Disco Studios is a small independent games studio and publisher founded in 2014. We develop a game in-house called Empires of the Undergrowth, and publish a range of games from small teams.

Despite being fully remote, we try to foster a very collaborative work environment where everyone can work to their strengths, ask for help, and team up on difficult jobs.

As well as bringing new skills into the team, the ideal candidate should also be interested in the sort of games we are working on, ideally both from a development perspective and as a player.

We feel that this is really important for you to be able to enjoy your work, so if you’ve ever wanted to command your own ant colony, design your own creatures, or keep pet beetles, then we’re sure you’ll absolutely love working in our team!

The Role:

2026 currently sees us working toward six product launches from a console release of an existing title to Steam launches of upcoming games. With this in mind, we are now looking for a new Product Marketing Executive to join our publishing team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, create and post social media content across a range of platforms including X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Reddit.
  • Identify things that the development teams are working on that would benefit from being posted about publicly.
  • Take on the role of community manager for a selection of games, for example regularly checking Steam community forums, reviews and Discord, interacting with players and collecting feedback to then pass back to the developer.
  • Create monthly marketing reports of titles to be shared with the developers and the marketing team.

Essential Skills:

  • Basic video editing & image editing skills.
  • The ability to write copy in a variety of tones and styles.
  • Experience of interacting with online video game communities (either as a player or in a position of authority).
  • Experience using social media platforms especially creating short form content such as for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Benefits:

  • Plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
  • Fully remote role with flexible working hours.
  • Yearly in person meet up.
  • Opportunities to attend various game events, previously we’ve been to Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show and PAX East as well as industry events such as Develop.

Additional Details

  • Location: Remote (UK only)
  • Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (Based on experience & qualifications)
  • Deadline for applications: 14th December 2025 (Interviews likely to be conducted the following week)

We’re a small team and we’re interested in hearing about what other skills you could bring to the table and about any skills you are hoping to develop while working with us.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are eager to diversify our team.

To apply:

Send us an email with your CV and cover letter.

About
Slug Disco Studios

Slug Disco is a UK-based indie game developer and publisher with a focus on nature-inspired titles. Founded by a trio of friends, Slug Disco developed Empires of the Undergrowth, an RTS of ant colonies and insect warfare.

We provide support on funding, marketing, localization and other functions so indie game developers can focus on creating the best gaming experience.
