Who We Are
What happens when you combine an elite cadre of award-winning games industry veterans, a pair of plucky newcomers, and three racoons in a trenchcoat masquerading as an adult human? You get Snackbar Studio - an all-remote, indie studio passionate about creating quirky, engaging, narrative games.
Our first title - The SnackBar at the End of the World - is scheduled for release next year. In this top-down, chill-action RPG for Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox, players take the role of a chef in a magical, 1960s-era Italy. They’ll forage, cook, and scheme to earn lire as they fight to save their city against an authoritarian mayor’s clutches, all while perfecting the perfect Spaghetti alla Carbonara. (Want to see more? The role
We're looking for a 2D Generalist Game Artist to help bring SnackBar to life. This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary, fully-remote role. You'll be creating 2D assets, working directly inside Unity, and contributing to the overall visual quality of the game, from level composition to UI polish.
You'll work under the direct supervision of our Art Director and Senior Animator, so you won't be flying solo - but we do expect you to be proactive, confident and competent in your craft, and comfortable owning multiple areas of the game.

Snackbar Studio is a FRESH indie game Development firm. We don’t make snacks. We aren’t a bar (one of us keeps getting accused of being drunk at work, but that’s just because she keeps it real). We’re a team of industry professionals with decades of experience under our collective belts. We’ve developed dozens of games, published a handful of books, launched a few successful companies, and spent a large percentage of our lives trying to beat this one level on Metroid (and then we’ll go to bed, Mom! Escape your city’s walls to the forbidden wilderness beyond. Battle magically-possessed boars, some very irritable enchanted vegetables, and the corrupt local government. Discover a magical portal to an enchanted market run by… raccoons? And (perhaps most challenging of all) master the perfect cacio e pepe recipe before the tyrannical mayor shuts your restaurant down. (No pressure.)
