Telescope Games is hiring an experienced and highly organized Technical Producer to join our fully remote team of game developers. You'll work closely with engineering and other cross-disciplinary teams to plan and coordinate the development of the complex systems and features that bring our games to life.

This role focuses on driving the engineering side of production while facilitating smooth communication between technical and creative teams. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of technology and production, demonstrating both strong project management acumen and a solid understanding of the technical side of game development.

Location: This is a fully remote role. We hire across time zones from PST to EST and welcome applicants located anywhere in that range.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering leads to plan and track feature development, technical improvements, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure dependencies and priorities are clearly defined and well communicated.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary work so the team can deliver gameplay that is both polished and responsive to player input.
  • Maintain project roadmaps, sprint plans, and task tracking using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early through active coordination and transparent reporting.
  • Communicate status updates clearly and effectively across disciplines and to leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production experience with technical or engineering-focused teams in game development.
  • A track record of shipping multiple titles from development through release.
  • Demonstrated success on larger, cross-disciplinary team projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and production pipelines.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.

 

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with Unity game engine.
  • Experience with cross-platform games.
  • Understanding of networking as it relates to gameplay and replicated gameplay systems.
  • Background working with distributed, fully remote teams.
