The Game Band makes surprising games that welcome people who don't usually play. We created Where Cards Fall for Apple Arcade, Blaseball for the web, and Dead Man's Party: A Knives Out Game for Netflix. We’re now building brand new social, ritual-based games for non-gaming platforms.
We’re looking for a Head of Social to embed social deeply into our new games and build the studio’s online presence.
This is not a traditional marketing role. Social is part of our game design. You will work with our games team to make sharing feel natural and rewarding.
We are a remote studio with a strong LA presence. For this role, we prefer candidates in the LA area.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
If you’re excited by building voice, writing memorable characters, and designing games to reach new audiences, we’d love to talk.

Since our inception in 2015, we have dedicated ourselves to broadening the video game audience by crafting stories across unconventional genres, mechanics, and gameplay styles.
Our first two games, “Where Cards Fall” and “Blaseball”, received widespread acclaim and captured the hearts of players. Just as our favorite bands continually reinvent their sound, we hope to always surprise you with what comes next.
Benefits
Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game blends our theatrical flair with party game chaos. The story is shaped by your instincts, your performances, and the strange little truths that emerge when you play pretend.
Where Cards Fall is a slice of life puzzle game where you build houses of cards to bring formative memories to life. Create pathways through dreamlike spatial puzzles to navigate the insecurities and emotions of high school and beyond.
Blaseball is an absurdist, player-driven, corruptible, online game of baseball. It’s a simplistic simulation of a sport, built in the void of real sports, where players can view, bet on, and contort the league.
