Join us and help create meaningful entertainment! As a member of the Torpor team, you will be working mainly as a Marketing & Community Manager to manage external communications and increase the presence of our games. We are looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills who can work independently to push Torpor Games’ products and values to the world.

The part-time employed or freelance position (employed-preferred) will start with a probation period of 6 months for 24 hours a week, with a potential increase in weekly hours to 32 to grow within the company after successfully passing the period. 

The work hours are flexible, and the office presence is hybrid. Office presence is usually a flexible 50-50 split of working from home and the office. Candidates located in Berlin or at a similar timezone are preferred.

  • Overseeing all of Torpor’s social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, Reddit, Steam posts, and discussions).
  • Create and send the monthly developer broadcast newsletter on channels, post it through Squarespace, Torpor Games Broadcasts, and Steam Store Page, and amplify it on social media channels.
  • Overseeing community moderation (Discord, Reddit, Steam)
  • Manage a Merch Store with a growing product portfolio.
  • Respond to support messages on Steam, Play Store, App Store, Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, support email inbox and forward to relevant Torpor Games staff.
  • Communicate with publishers and clients regarding marketing activities and campaigns.
  • Increase the presence of our games through game events, festivals, and awards.
  • Creating marketing assets (banners, screenshots, animated images, short videos).


Essential skills:

  • Basic experience with social media.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic editor tools such as Photoshop or Krita.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Down-to-earth attitude with our community.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Interest in indie and thought-provoking games.
  • Passion for politics and history.


Great to have:

  • Copywriting experience.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing tools such as Premiere, Vegas, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Community moderation experience.
  • Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Experienced in writing blog posts.
  • Previously worked with Steam, Play Store, App Store, PlayStation, XBOX, Switch Store backends.
  • General games industry experience.
