Prefabot is a Toronto-based game studio developing Desserted, a chaotic co-op horror game with unique, system-driven gameplay.

Our Vision

Our vision at Prefabot is to build a new kind of creative ecosystem—one where success isn’t based on luck or overwork, but on deliberate system design. We believe great systems should ignite talent, safeguard passion, and provide clarity—not restrict or punish.

We aim to create a structured environment that:

  • Gives smart people clear and feasible goals;
  • Makes collaboration seamless and frictionless;
  • Ensures every contribution is visible and fairly evaluated.

Who We Are

Our organization operates entirely online and is structured around:

  • Mission Pods. 10-day execution teams focused on clear, trackable goals and regular retrospectives.
  • Project Councils. Responsible for content design and timeline control, composed of tech/art/design leads.
  • Central Coordination. Responsible for content design and timeline control, composed of tech/art/design leads.
  • R&D Core Group. Oversees prototyping, long-term planning, and structural innovation.
  • Cultural Safeguard. Final narrative check to prevent ideological risks or personal bias in public content.

This system enables us to maintain: low rework rate, high output stability, strong team alignment, and timezone-agnostic productivity.

Our Goals

  1. Create world-class games: Combining philosophy, social allegory, humor, and gameplay depth to build titles that stand the test of time and culture.
  2. Design the next-gen creative production system: One that doesn’t rely on individual brilliance or crunch, but on well-designed structures, rituals, and rhythm. A model that is scalable, repeatable, and fair.

Ultimately, Prefabot aims to become a culture-driven tech company—producing not just games, but a new creative production philosophy.
