Bad Galaxy Games seeks a creative and detail-oriented environmental artist to help build interior spaces for Black Jackal, an upcoming science fiction game about exploring derelict spacecraft.
This work will mostly consist of using marketplace asset packs to furnish existing interior spaces in Unreal Engine levels, though some asset creation may be necessary. In particular, the spaces need to feel lived-in, including environmental storytelling which furthers the overall plotline of the level, and various types of collectibles which need to be scattered and hidden. This may also include performing some minor fixes to level architecture.
Initially this contract will be to fill out three art-ready levels, each comprising about 1-2 hours of gameplay, but if things go well there will be an opportunity for more work along the same lines. The details of compensation and contract terms are negotiable, based on industry-standard rates.
We're a small team, and so we're looking for someone who feels comfortable owning their own space, working with partial direction, and being a creative voice on the project.
