We are a plucky independent fully-remote video game studio primarily based in the UK, and makers of widely praised and highly-rated Galacticare and War for the Overworld. The core team has joined together from all over the world because of a shared passion for building brighter universes. Our goal is to continue creating genre-twisting 3D simulation and management games; and if we can do it with a quirkily British sense of humour, then all the better!
You will be joining a highly passionate, closely-knit team of developers creating games in some of the most rewarding and deep genres - simulation, RTS and management. We aim to hire multi-talented individuals who operate autonomously, with every role hands-on and directly impacting our games.
In this Senior QA role, you set the studio’s quality strategy, embed QA in planning, and lead testing from daily smoke checks through major milestones and demos. You work hands-on in Unity to design and run tests, verify fixes, track coverage and stability, and report clear, player-focused signals. You also own the build flow, defining release trains and gates, distributing builds to the team and playtesters, and continuously improving pipelines and tools so the studio ships stable, predictable releases.
QA Strategy: Define and Lead
You define how QA integrates with development and champion a quality-first mindset across the studio. You represent QA in planning, scope, and milestone discussions, collaborate closely with design, code, and art to deliver focused, player-centric feedback, and lead internal and external testing efforts from day to day smoke tests to major deliverable milestones and demos.

Hands-On QA: Play, Verify, Report
You own the QA pipeline end-to-end, from test design to execution and reporting, working directly in Unity to find issues and verify fixes. You create and maintain test plans and cases, execute them, track coverage, and assess build stability; you reproduce defects, verify fixes rapidly, and guard against regressions in-engine; and you communicate risks clearly with concise reporting and stability trend analysis.

Build Flow: Distribute, Monitor, Improve
You partner with production to streamline build distribution and release management while continuously improving pipelines and tools. You define release trains, gates, and readiness criteria for internal and external drops; manage low-friction build distribution for the team and playtesters; and identify bottlenecks, driving new tools and automation with engineering support, using Confluence and Jira to keep everything visible and up to date.

We’re a small, stable indie studio in the heart of Brighton, UK. We’ve been on a bit of a journey. Now we’re in the enviable position of being able to embark on our NEXT BIG THING. We’ve learned lots from making our highly-praised first game, War for the Overworld, and we’re taking those lessons forward into our new project.
You can be a part of this future.
We’re looking for people that live and breathe games like we do, that are willing to challenge tradition, and that have the drive and attention to detail needed to get a great game out the door. We want people that know their stuff, but who are always pushing to learn more – we learn things from each other every day, and each of us is deep diving into our specialties so we can get better. Being a specialist is one thing of course, but in a team this small you’ll also need to balance a fair few hats on that bonce of yours as well.
If you can do all that, well then maybe we ought to be having a chit-chat!
We pride ourselves on the strength of our core team, but we also work with a bunch of awesome freelancers.
Galacticare is a hospital management game in a weird and wacky sci-fi universe. In a colourful world rife with death and disease, design and manage perfectly functioning hospitals orbiting volcanic planets, deep-space graveyards, and psychic alien deities! With an offbeat narrative that twists together a ragtag group of eccentrics, the game takes you on a journey beyond managing a hospital. From your assistants - a dejected AI bureaucrat and Medi, a tireless janitorial robot - to the variety of consultants you’ll hire and bring along on your journey, the characters will grow beside you as you progress deeper through the story.
War for the Overworld is an original Dungeon Management Game with a dark sense of humour. Players build their very own dungeon with unique rooms, deadly traps and despicable minions. They face off against goodly heroes and vicious rival Underlords to conquer the realm of Kairos, across a number of game modes including multiplayer and a fully voiced acted campaign.
