At indie publisher Camlann Games, we are on the lookout for a Social Media and Community Management Specialist from Europe!

The ideal candidate will be passionate about indie games and have gained some first-hand experience in community and social media management at a development studio or publishing label. You will report directly to the Head of Marketing, working alongside a team scattered throughout Europe and the Americas to take charge of social media and community growth for both released as well as upcoming games in our portfolio. 

This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role where we prioritize achievements and results over fixed working hours. You’ll need to be able to work as a freelancer to be considered for the position. 

Please also note that this is not an entry-level position and you will be expected to hit the ground running. That said, even If you don’t tick all the boxes but feel like you have a unique set of skills that could come in handy, we’d still love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with 3 - 4 flagship titles simultaneously of small but growing community sizes
  • Design, implement, and execute overarching social media and community growth strategies for Camlann’s portfolio of games - coordinating with the marketing and development teams to showcase the best each game has to offer;
  • Accompany our titles throughout their lifecycle, regularly creating captivating content for TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, and other platforms as described in each game’s marketing plan; 
  • Interact with, moderate, and police our communities, both through social media and dedicated community hubs (Discord, Steam);
  • Monitor and react to wider industry trends, daily events, and discourse to ensure our content is relevant and engaging;
  • Record statistics, collect data, and monitor analytics, adjusting your community strategies accordingly;
  • Support the wider marketing team at Camlann. Collect valuable player feedback, analyze wider player sentiment, and track optimal dates for announcements and key marketing beats; 

 

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Social Media and Community manager at a game studio or publisher;
  • Proven experience designing and executing social media and community building strategies - including defining goals, finding the right tone of voice, and setting realistic KPIs for your work;
  • Experience producing content and interacting with worldwide communities across different social media platforms
  • The ability to take charge, tackle specific tasks, set and meet deadlines independently -  at times working on multiple projects at the same time;
  • Basic familiarity with key tools for the role, including video and image manipulation software (Adobe, Capcut, Canva, etc.), platform-specific analytics, data-gathering and scheduling tools and Google Drive;
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language, as well as the ability to work with a team, communicate effectively, provide and accept feedback;

 

Nice to have

  • Previous experience handling communities for Strategy, 4X, RPG or action-adventure games;
  • Previous events management or livestreaming experience;
  • Existing contacts with social media influencers;
  • Command of a second language;
