Hi there! 

We are Chanko Studios, a young indie game studio based in Lyon, France and Berlin, Germany and we made it our goal to create thinky games that get your brain cells working and make people laugh, sometimes.

With our team of 8 creative heads we are currently working on It’s a Wrap!, a puzzle-platformer about movie making in the 80s. It’s a Wrap! has been awarded “Excellence in Game Design” and “Media selection of IGN Japan” during BitSummit 2022, “Best Livestream” during Devcom 2022, “Most Innovative Newcomer” during the Creative Gaming Awards 2022, “Most Fun to Play” during Indie X 2022 and has been selected for the Rising Showcase at PAXWest 2022 and a finalist of the 10th Indie Game Contest.

Are you an experienced 2D Animator (m/f/d), eager to join a small team where you can be a pillar in the design of our future games with your ideas making a real difference?

What you will do:

• Work in close collaboration with the Art and Tech team and drive the vision for Animations across It’s a Wrap and future projects
• Create fun and comical Character Animations using rigs as well as frame-by-frame
• Breathe life into environments by animating objects, machines and vehicles
• Be the lead in your discipline and have a real impact

Your Profile:

• You have 3+ years experience as an Animator in game development
• You worked on at least one shipped commercial game
• You have experience working with Unity
• You have a strong understanding of keyframe animation and character rigging
• You are oriented to teamwork and collaboration and willing to provide as well as receive constructive feedback
• You have strong English communication skills
• You have an online portfolio that shows relevant projects and skills
• You are passionate about video games

 Bonus

• Experience in 3D Animation and Modeling
• Experience working with After Effects
• You have a good sense of humor, so that we have at least 1 of that kind
