About the Role:
You'll work closely with another backend engineer, frontend developers, producers, and our client stakeholders. We're looking for someone who communicates clearly and proactively — especially when it comes to surfacing decision points and articulating tradeoffs. Primary technical challenges will include supporting a large number of concurrent users (500-1,000 in the first phase, scaling to 75,000+ in subsequent phases), designing for that growth from the outset, and keeping service and infrastructure costs low.
Availability and Compensation:
20–40 hours/week for approximately 6 months (duration TBD), with hours-based invoicing twice per month. Availability to meet during business hours (9-5 ET) required.
To Apply:
Send a resume and a brief cover letter describing your experience with one or more similar projects at scale to Jordan Bach, Tech Director.
