GB Patch Games is looking for additional artists for our upcoming commercial visual novel project. Our Life: Now & Forever is a wholesome LGBTQ+ story set in a forested mountain town during fall. It will launch into Early Access November this year! 

The application window will close Saturday, May 30th.

Project Details:

In the game, players are able to design their main character using a dress-up doll mini-game. There is already a playable version of this in a demo for the game. New artists will need to match the existing style and follow specific guidelines for coloring/sizing the assets they create. A couple hundred new dress-up doll layers are needed, but they will be split between more than one artist.

In-Game Appearance:

The doll has layers for the character’s hairstyle, clothing, various accessories, and skin details such as freckles. The game artists would create layers for all those types of layers.

Project Scope: At least 10 completed layers per month for several months

Project Length: Until the end of the 2026, could continue into 2027

What we are looking for:

• 18+ age requirement
• 1+ years of history of taking commissions or working on other professional projects
• Comfortable drawing different hair types, clothing styles, and accessories
• Ability to work on tasks consistently with minimal oversight
• Great communication skills and willingness to ask for help when needed 

Great to have:

• Prior experience working on visual novels
• Familiarity with the Our Life series, especially Our Life: Now & Forever

General Information:

• This job is a contract position and fully remote. A contract will need to be electronically signed if you're joining the team
• AI generation is not permitted for creating the art
• Payments will be sent through PayPal, Zelle, or Wise
• Shortlisted candidates will be expected to complete an example piece in the game’s style. You will be paid at your normal rate for the test piece
