Hollow Ponds, creators of Hohokum, Flock, I Am Dead, Loot Rascals, Wilmot’s Warehouse and Wilmot Works It Out, are looking for someone to work with our development team to create approachable, funny and informative short-form videos for social media platforms, primarily to showcase one of our upcoming games.
This role is Remote, Contract & Part Time. We’re based in the UK, and would prefer to work with someone within reach of our studio in London, for occasional in-person meetings, but this isn’t a firm requirement. However we are not accepting applications from people significantly outside of the GMT time zone. We are also not interested in hearing from people who use LLM-based AI to make videos: we’re a no-AI studio.
We work with a diverse set of collaborators, and folks from under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. We’re accepting applications until Monday, March 30, 2026.

We’re planning for an initial period of work of around 3-6 months, 3-4 days a week, although this is somewhat flexible. This will involve making an initial set of videos, but not releasing them – we are planning on building a bank of videos before we go public. If all goes well, this will be followed by more work leading up to our next major release.
Most videos will be short-form ( ~ 1 minute) and designed for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram but reposted on other appropriate channels, such as Bluesky.
Some videos will show the tech / systems behind the scenes - including in-editor shots, in progress work and other behind the scenes work. Others will be in-game and demonstrate fun interactions and characters.

As a starting point, here’s an example of a video we made for our game Wilmot Works it Out, created in collaboration with Finji.
But we want to hear what you would like to do with the role! We are looking for a collaborator - someone who will bring their own flavour to these videos. We think our games are charming, funny and approachable, and we’re hoping to find someone who makes videos which capture these qualities in their own way.
Initial Responsibilities include:
Ideal Experience:
Even if you donʼt have the longest CV, weʼd love to hear from you. We are looking for candidates with the right voice for talking about our games, and understand that experience is no guarantee of that.

About You:
You enjoy working closely with other creative people. You like discovering games which are outside your current experience, and turning those learnings into great videos.
You value documenting learned lessons and strategy meetings. You are open to the benefits of using analytics tools. Youʼre happy to receive feedback and ideas from people outside your discipline. When you donʼt know how to do something, you research it and make a plan.
You will speak up if something seems wrong. You are comfortable asking questions and you understand that all jobs have some chores and are okay with that.
Youʼre a good communicator. If someone asks “Can we do _____?ˮ some of the answers you might give are:
“Sure! It’s on my list.ˮ
“I’m not sure why you want to do this. Can you explain?ˮ
“This sounds cool, but it will take a lot of time. Is it worth it?ˮ
“We canʼt do that, but something that will achieve a similar result is _____”
