Hello,
My name is Dina and I am one half of Konafa Games, an indie game studio in Amsterdam looking to hire an artist for our prototype for our second game. We recently released our first commercial game earlier in the year (Starless Abyss) and have been working on a new project.
Project details:
Working Title: Blobz Factory
Description: The game is a steampunk abstract robot factory about generating numbers to meet the demands of your capitalist overlords. The core loop is about scaling your factory to meet an ever growing quota which is done by leveling up the bots, smashing reward boxes to get items that can improve your bots, recycling items you don't need for money and a whole bunch of other stuff.
What we are looking for:
A 2D video game artist that can transform our wireframes into a proper visual style, almost all elements in the prototype are placeholders with the exception of the Titan Bot. The overall theme of the game revolves around overworked bot workers enslaved to corporate greed and we are aiming for a generally charming and playful style. We need a clear and readable UI structure as the whole game is basically in one screen and we would like to make sure that all information remains visible and non intrusive. We are not looking for pixel art for this project.
We have a fully playable build and footage of the game, so you can try it out yourself and watch the footage.
We are (mostly) based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We are trying to make complex games with a spark! We have released our first game and are already making the next one.
Earth has fallen. Science and the Occult have united forces to brace for the arrival of the Eldritch. But will the efforts against this strange, alien race be enough? Play as one of many Proximae used to help defend humanity in Starless Abyss– a turn-based, roguelike, intergalactic deck builder.
