Mission: Own and evolve LingoLooper’s stylized 3D avatars; from meshes and textures to blend shapes and pipeline quality.
Team: Work closely with the co-founder, developers, and animator on a small, remote-first team.
Product: LingoLooper is a language learning game where users practice conversations with expressive 3D avatars, downloaded over 800,000 times. The avatars are the heart of the product and central to the user experience.

⚙️ Responsibilities
Own and continuously improve our stylized humanoid character pipeline.
Improve and extend existing avatars, including meshes, textures, and rigs.
Create new hairstyles, outfits, and visual variations that fit seamlessly into the established style.
Work extensively with blend-shape-driven characters to support customization and expressiveness.
Clean up inconsistencies, edge cases, and technical/artistic debt in the character system.
Define and maintain naming conventions, export standards, and asset organization.
Import characters into Unity and validate that everything works as expected in-engine.
Collaborate closely with our animator and developers to ensure smooth integration.
Identify workflow bottlenecks and help improve or automate repetitive tasks.
Contribute lightweight documentation so the pipeline remains clear and scalable.
Excellent understanding of meshes, topology, UVs, stylized texturing, and rigging.
Proven ability to match, refine, and extend an existing art style.
Solid experience working with blend shapes and customization systems.
Strong eye for detail, proportion, and subtle facial nuance.
Comfortable working in Blender (preferred) or similar DCC tools.
Able to export clean, production-ready FBX files.
Willing to import assets into Unity and validate results (deep Unity knowledge not required).
Comfortable taking ownership of a system and improving it over time.
Able to work independently in an async, remote environment.

Experience owning or maintaining a character pipeline long-term.
Familiarity with Unity-based character workflows.
Interest in workflow optimization, scripting, or tooling improvements.
Experience in indie games, startups, or small teams with high ownership.
