Little Bat Games is excited to announce a new opening on our team! We are currently seeking an experienced Background Artist with a flair for a gothic or “Dark Academia” aesthetic. Our upcoming title, Vampire Therapist, requires rich, atmospheric environments that bring our unique world to life. This is a key role that will help define the style of the game and support its therapy-oriented gameplay.

This role requires you to reside in Berlin/Brandenburg, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling, atmospheric background art that maintains the distinct Dark Academia aesthetic of Vampire Therapist.
• Work with the Art Director to ensure the visual cohesion of the game’s environments.
• Collaborate with our narrative and design teams to conceptualize and create backgrounds that align with the narrative needs of the game.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing to the overall artistic vision and direction of the project.
• Consistently meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work.
• Adapt and make necessary artistic adjustments based on team feedback.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Background Artist or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
• Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• An exceptional understanding of light, color, form, and perspective.
• Strong comprehension of the Dark Academia aesthetic.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of game development pipelines and workflow, understanding of Unity is a plus.
• Interest in therapy
