Meeple Corp is seeking an experienced UI/UX Game Artist to join our team and help bring popular, best-selling board games to major digital platforms. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining the visual identity and user experience across our tabletop adaptations, ensuring a seamless balance between brand identity and digital usability. Joining our small, collaborative team, you’ll help bring high-profile titles to life while contributing to a culture that values flexibility, shared responsibility, and a passion for high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Art Style Definition: Define a clear and cohesive art style and visual language direction for new and existing digital game adaptations, considering elements like color palette, shape language, physical brand, visual hierarchy, material feel (e.g., flat, illustrated, semi-3D), and tone (e.g., playful, cosy, energetic).
• Application and Execution: Apply the defined art style to wireframes and final in-game UI screens.
• Usability and Clarity: Balance clarity, usability, and brand identity to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Design Decision-Making: Clearly communicate your thinking, design decisions, and the challenges you solved during the design process.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain an awareness of accessibility constraints and considerations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or Artist, with experience working on shipped video games.
• Ability to independently translate material and design concepts into coherent, cohesive art styles.
• Expertise in defining and executing Visual Hierarchy and Art Style Cohesion.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and Readability for digital applications.
• High level of Creativity and demonstrated ability to work around potential UX/UI hurdles.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting and explaining design decisions.
