We are looking for a passionate mid-to-senior level Unity Game Developer to help the production of Discovery Of Magic, our magic-themed VR multiplayer game! As a pivotal early team member, you’ll play a key role in implementing game features and multiplayer backend solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop core game features in Unity 3D.
• Implement and maintain multiplayer functionality (lobbies, matchmaking, session flow).
• Collaborate with designers and artists to bring features from concept to execution.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code in C#
• Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize for VR performance across devices.
• Contribute to tool development and workflow improvements for the team.
• Work iteratively in an agile environment.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Attention to detail - you don’t just take on a task, you polish and perfect it.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Unity C# development.
• Experience with VR development. (OpenXR, interaction, input systems, physics)
• Experience with networked gameplay. (Photon, NGO, FishNet)
• Experience with live multiplayer services (In-app purchases, EOS, Steamworks, Voice Chat)
• Experience with UI & Animation.
• Experience with optimization for mobile/VR (URP, draw calls, occlusion, light baking)
• Strong grasp of game architecture, design patterns, and debugging practices.
• You are a team player with strong communication and reliability skills.
• A passion for games, VR, and fantasy worlds.
• Familiarity with agile and iterative workflows.
• Fluent in English.

Bonus XP Points:

• Knowledge of FishNet networking for Unity.
• Knowledge of shader scripting or ShaderGraph.
• Knowledge of VFX creation (VFXGraph, Shuriken).
• Knowledge of Unity Timeline
• Fully released a game
• You love the observer pattern.
• Based or willing to relocate to Malta
