The Short Form Video Editor at offbrand games is a key role responsible for helping concept, capture, & edit shortform video content promoting offbrand games & our published titles. They will coordinate with the offbrand games team to create exceptional shorts for social media that show off our cool games and the rad devs behind them - with a little sprinkle of shitposting for good measure.

As Short Form Video Editor, you will work closely with our partnered developers, ensuring a genuine voice that captures the essence of each project. The ideal candidate will lead creative development and execution of exceptional short-form video content for games offbrand publishes.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and produce exceptional shortform video content for offbrand games.
• Collaborate with developers to craft messaging true to their spirit and their game’s essence.
• Develop processes for recording or gathering in-development gameplay footage from games.
• Drive growth of offbrand games and partnered game developer accounts.
• Keep abreast of video content trends, community sentiment, and analytics produced by the offbrand marketing team and use them to help guide our strategy.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
• Be a dope, chill, and swag human.

Requirements

• Proficient in shitposting
• Extensive experience with game capture
• Proven work experience and portfolio as a video producer & editor, particularly with the shortform medium.
• Familiarity with indie game audiences and marketing for PC/console titles
• Knowledge and experience with the trends, voice, and culture of video-focused social media platforms
• Excellent instincts for timing, motivation, & continuity.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, & compositing.
• Creative mind & storytelling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (bias towards action)
• Relentless thirst for knowledge & growth
• Extensive experience with digital technology and editing software (e.g. Premiere, LightWorks, Cinema4D, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, etc)
• Ability to handle entire projects while meeting Development / Delivery expectations

Bonus Points

• Modern game engine capture experience (Unreal Engine, Unity, Source 2, etc)
• Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field
• Experience within gaming, film, and/or entertainment
• Experience with Monday.com, Slack, Discord, and/or Google Suite (Gmail / Sheets / Docs)
