Hello! I'm Brady Soglin, an indie developer based in Chicago, USA. I've shipped several games - my most recent is "Tall Trails (2025)", a whimsical exploration game where you play as a golem looking for his purpose.
I'm working on a prototype for a 3D game, and am looking to connect with a freelancer who can help define the art style for the project, as well as build an asset library that I can kitbash with to build levels.
The game will be low poly, set in an indoor, brutalist environment, with a bright, sunlit aesthetic. Its tone is comedic. For inspiration, think Team Fortress 2, Straftat, or look at the submissions to the "Quake Brutalist Jam".
This role will pay hourly, 8 - 16 hours a week for one to two months while the look of the game is being defined. After that, being available to help with ad hoc asset requests would be a plus!
Pay band is USD $30 - $40 /hr (negotiable based on prior experience), starting ASAP.
The Role
This is a remote gig. We will meet virtually once a week, so light preference for folks based in a timezone compatible with North America.

Tall Trails is a chill exploration game where EVERYTHING goes in the boot! You're Alp, a lil' golem on a quest to find his purpose. Run, climb, and use items as fuel in your Rocket Boot to blast yourself into the air!
In Fossil Corner, you're a retired paleontologist, collecting fossils and solving evolutionary puzzles in your old garage.
Plant Daddy is a laid-back browser game about raising houseplants in your sunny apartment. Your plants grow in real time–water them, buy some furniture, and then close the tab and come back when you have a spare moment!
