We're SoftEthix, a small independent studio based in NYC making our debut title NIMH — a 3D action-stealth game built around movement, tension, and precision. At our core, we are a group of artists that believe that games are inherently art. Our company culture is tight knit and we believe in the importance of being cross media literate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our vertical slice is complete. We're in full production and moving fast. We need a developer who owns their work end-to-end and cares deeply about how mechanics feel.
You'll architect and build gameplay systems in Unity from the ground up: single player, 3D, third person. You'll lead a small dev team, make decisive calls, and iterate quickly. No hand-holding, no siloed thinking, just sharp execution and a shared obsession with getting the game right.
If you thrive in a lean, high-velocity environment and have strong opinions about what makes gameplay satisfying, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Gameplay. Period.

SoftEthix is a small 12 person game production studio based in New York City's Lower East Side. Composed of artists, filmmakers, writers, and software developers that make playable games for a decidedly mainstream audience.
SoftEthix's approach is built on the foundational belief that gaming is already art. At its core, the team leverages both formal artistic training and practical gaming experience to inform its development strategies and avoid the pitfalls of "art games."
They're currently developing their debut game, "Charles Manson, Timothy Leary, & the Animals of NIMH".
Charles Manson, Timothy Leary, & the Animals of NIMH is a reality-bending, 3P stealth action game. It features The Control (T.C.), a hyper-intelligent rat
protagonist who wields a large knife to eliminate threats, solve puzzles, and free fellow animals caught in a civil war within the infamous National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) lab maze-experiment.
