We are currently developing an ambitious next-generation RPG with a unique gear mechanic that promises to revolutionize the genre. As we prepare for our game pitch presentation, we are searching for talented interns to join our creative team this summer and help bring our vision to life.

Important Details:

• Position: Combat Design Intern
• Duration: Summer Internship (3 months)
• Compensation: Paid
• Location: Remote (US only)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our design team to iterate and refine the combat mechanics of our existing game demo.
• Contribute to the development of engaging and balanced combat systems that enhance player experience.
• Assist in playtesting sessions and gather feedback to improve current combat features.
• Provide detailed documentation and presentations of design changes for internal review.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, providing gameplay-related input and ideas.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Game Design, Interactive Entertainment, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous game experience, with at least one playable project (even if it's a school project).
• Proficiency in Unity engine.
• Understanding of combat mechanics, game balancing, and player experience design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setup.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the gaming industry or with combat-focused game projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to game design.
• Passion for RPGs and a deep understanding of combat mechanics within the genre.
