TangleMindGames is a small indie studio developing an auto-battler game combining deep hero customization, deck-building, and roguelite gameplay.
After several years of development, the core game is well established and much of the artwork is already in place. Because the art has been created by multiple artists over time, we're now looking for a hands-on Lead Game Artist to strengthen the game's visual direction, bring greater consistency across the existing artwork, and continue creating production art.
This is primarily a hands-on production role with visual leadership responsibilities. Your strongest discipline should be stylized 3D game art, along with practical experience working with 3D character animation. Breadth across 2D and UI art is valuable, but we don't expect equal expertise in every discipline.

What We're Looking For
Experience with Unity and shipped game titles is a strong plus.
We are not looking for someone who is a specialist in every artistic discipline. We're looking for a strong, versatile game artist who can take ownership of visual quality, make good production decisions, and help establish a consistent artistic foundation for the game.
Team & Working Style
TangleMindGames is a very small, fully remote indie studio.
You'll work directly with the game's developer/designer and help provide visual guidance to external artists or freelancers when additional production support is needed.
Because the team is small, this role offers substantial creative ownership and direct influence over how the game ultimately looks and feels.

Our hiring process will be lightweight: Portfolio review -> short conversation -> small paid art test -> final conversation / offer
The paid test will be clearly scoped and time-boxed. Its purpose is to evaluate visual judgment, production quality, workflow, communication, and ability to work within the game's existing visual direction.
