Tech Tree Games is hiring a Full-Stack Developer (Web & Game Services)!

We’re a small mobile studio based out of the US with some very successful live games and more in development, and we’re looking to bring on more people to grow our company and our biggest games, The Tower and Idle Planet Miner.

In this position you’ll develop and maintain some of our company’s most critical resources including our webstore as well as backend systems used for analytics, content, and player data. We’re looking for someone who can work on a shopping cart for a web store, cross-device saves in-engine, and create tools for the rest of the team. This role is perfect for someone who values contributing across the full stack of development to support game teams and create robust tools and infrastructure.

Tech Tree Games is an entirely remote studio. This is intended as a full-time position and we are currently able to employ candidates in the states of California or Texas.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain web stores for multiple game titles
• Rapidly diagnose and fix production issues in web and backend systems
• Contribute to games on backend integration, player saves, and API maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues and implement fixes as needed

What We Need

• 2-4+ years of professional experience on a live-operated game
• Proficiency with Firebase Cloud Functions (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Comfortable integrating and troubleshooting external APIs (REST/JSON)
• Expertise with Next.js (App Router) and React 
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal oversight
• Solid grasp of mobile-first front-end development skills

What We’d Love

• Familiarity with Unity, C#, and mobile SDKs
• Experience with PlayFab, Vercel, and the Google Cloud Platform overall 
• Capable of making tools that work with a game’s backend to adjust or simulate content
• Experience working with F2P mobile games, especially in strategy or simulation genres
• Well-rounded developer comfortable with wearing multiple hats on a small game team
