Hi,

We’re looking for someone with experience in game marketing to help lead our efforts. We currently have two games in production in different spaces but some overlap – one is a Cozy game, another is (somewhat casual) Turn-based Strategy/Tower Defense. We are open to possibly hiring two separate people, or (ideally) one person to help manage both.

Here are the primary tasks we definitely would like you to focus on and have some experience in:

• Press: Researching press contacts, writing press releases around major announcements (such as release dates, etc.), bulk emailing and sending review keys, as well as managing responses and follow-ups
• Influencers: Researching influencers (YouTube/Twitch primarily), contacting them about coverage and sending keys, managing responses and follow-ups
• Social: Exploring cozy and/or strategy communities on reddit or imgur that might be a good fit for the type of games we are working on, and posting occasionally
• Providing suggestions and plans to ensure game’s success leading up to launch (and beyond)
• Providing (brief) reports with current state of things to give us a general feel of where we’re at

Here are some secondary tasks that we may or may not ask you to do, depending on if they make sense for our games and how they perform:

• Posting on our existing social media channels (Twitter/Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram)
• Capturing video footage, editing, and posting shortform videos on TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube shorts
• Posting Steam announcements and engaging with Steam community
• Engaging with our existing Discord community (it’s pretty low key currently)
• Maybe experiment with paid advertising (i.e. Facebook/Instagram/YouTube)

The ideal candidate will:

• Have credit(s) on a previously released title (Steam or consoles), preferably through the full lifecycle of the game
• Have experience with either Cozy or Turn-based Strategy game spaces
• Be able to coordinate with other team members (such as requesting assets)
• Be proactive and out-of-the-box thinker to assess new opportunities

We’re open and flexible to trying different things and ideas – whatever would help the game most :) Ultimately, we like to hire people who can be proactive and work independently, ideally you are someone who can tell us what needs to be done, rather than the other way around. Trust!

This is a remote and paid position that likely would be half-time, like 20hrs a week, and workload may be more focused around major beats (like releases). We would agree on a monthly fee and hours we both feel comfortable with, and then see how we can best utilize the time we have.
