About the role

vvd is one workspace for the worlds people build and the stories they tell in them: collaborative wikis, a story editor, maps, family trees, mood boards, published reader sites.

We're looking for someone who lives inside fictional worlds and can play a key role on our growth team. This part-time role involves curation across all creative mediums, crafting content, and connecting with a community of storytellers.

Responsibilities

• Write and produce content for our social channels (posts and short-form ideas that reflect vvd's voice)
• Track news, trends, and shifts across fiction, TTRPGs, games, film, and adjacent media
• Scout emerging and established writers, fiction creators, and worldbuilders creating exceptional stories, and build a pipeline for spotlighting them
• Build original worlds for product demos and platform showcases
• Write insights for crafting, storytelling breakdowns, and tips for users and the community
• Partner across marketing and product to keep creator-facing content aligned with launches

What you bring

• Experience and understanding of fictional storytelling communities (authors, worldbuilders, TTRPG players, indie animators, game devs, etc.)
• Strong copywriting instincts for social media and editorial content
• Experience managing social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
• Graphic design skills in Photoshop or adjacent platforms
• A sharp sense of curation and quality

Nice to haves

• Video or content production experience (filming, editing, or directing short-form content)
• Experience creating personal fiction projects of your own in any medium
• Familiarity with fiction writing platforms like Substack, Royal Road, and Wattpad

How we work

Small team, remote, high trust. You will work directly with the founder and the growth team, with a short path from an idea to something published.
