We’re vvd. We make tools for storytellers. Right now we’re focused on TTRPGs and fiction, but that’s just where we’re starting. Our goal is simple: empower people to create worlds, stories, and experiences that others can get lost in.

We’re still at the beginning of our own story, and we’re looking for a few people to help write the next chapters.

In a moment where “AI creative tools” are pumping out slop on one side and vicious debate on the other, we’re choosing to not ignore the power this technology unlocks and empower human creativity and craft, not replace it.

This isn’t going to be easy but you’ll actually shape something real. Something that will reach millions of people. You’ll own part of it, end-to-end, in a way that leaves a mark you can point to and say: I built that.

What you’ll do

You’re an engineer who can deliver end-to-end:

• Build and ship features independently, not just close tickets.
• Work tightly with design and iterate fast.
• Care about taste, flow, and how things feel.
• Communicate directly, no corporate padding.
• Work confidently with AI dev tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).

What we care about

Experience helps, but it’s not a gate. If you’ve built and shipped real things, jobs, side projects, experiments and can walk us through:

• what you built
• why you built it that way
• what broke
• how you solved it

Then you’re good for it. Ownership matters more than pedigree.

For a Mobile Engineer (React Native)

You're someone who can build smooth, fast mobile experiences from scratch. You know the difference between what works on iOS vs Android, you care about gestures and animations, and you understand when to go native vs when to stay in RN. You've shipped apps to the App Store and Play Store and dealt with all the quirks that come with it.

Specifically:

• React Native (the real kind, not just dabbled)
• You've handled things like push notifications, deep linking, offline sync, background tasks
• You know your way around native modules when you need them
• You can debug performance issues and make things feel buttery
• Bonus: you've worked with real-time features or complex state management

Extra pluses

• Mobile engineering experience (React Native).
• You play TTRPGs, read fiction, or like nerdy stuff to some extent.
• You care about aesthetics and design.
