We’re looking for an experienced technical writer who can help make our in-game texts shine.

If you’re someone who knows the ins-and-outs of Lancer’s mechanics, you might be just who we need. We’re looking to take the descriptions and rules of the Lancer Core book and adapt them to Lancer Tactics: clarifying/refining language, making sure mechanics and rules fit the Lancer Tactics universe, as well as parsing and tagging terms for our digital engine.

NOTE: This is a contract position for 40 hours of work with opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities

• Edit in-game text for clarity and content.
• Adapt tabletop-centric descriptions from the Lancer sourcebook to the digital game
• Format texts for in-game usage and preparation for translation/localization
• Work with the Lancer Tactics Core Team to identify design issues and help create solutions

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working with tabletop RPGs and/or turn-based strategy games
• Minimum 2 years of technical writing/editing experience
• Strong knowledge of Lancer TTRPG (or other tactical TTRPGs)
• Fluency with Google Sheets
• Ability to communicate clearly and often
• Team is based in Pacific Time, but willing to work with anyone globally

Compensation

• $30/hr USD
