We’re known for making games where players' choices shape their experience. We’re passionate about telling collaborative stories with our players and aim to delight them by reacting to their decisions in fun and innovative ways.
Digimancy is based in Columbus, Ohio, but we embrace a remote model of game development. We’re happy to work with talented game developers no matter where they’re located.
Our three founders have a combined 60 years of game development experience, focusing on RPGs and RPG-hybrids. Their credits include Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions, Wasteland 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, Pillars of Eternity, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Dungeons & Dragons Online, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Shattered Galaxy.
Our Mission
- Create games that tell great stories
- Transport players to new and original worlds
- Explore the intersection between RPGs and other genres
Our Values
- Trust. We trust our people. We work with them (and with each other) because we believe in our colleagues’ abilities and judgment. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to share opinions and concerns, and the owners / leads will always be open to feedback and consider it carefully.
- Craftsmanship. We care deeply about the quality of our work. In creating a high-quality product or a believable world, every detail matters and is worth getting right. We value precision and a hand-crafted feeling in our games.
- Originality. We endeavor to create products that feel new and different, and we avoid chasing trends. It’s important to strike a balance between the familiar and the unfamiliar, but originality is a core pillar of our games. Sometimes that might mean taking risks and avoiding the safe path, but that’s ok. Truly memorable games are the ones that break new ground and create new trends, rather than following old ones.
- Humility. We know that nobody’s infallible, and everyone is learning all the time. We look for colleagues who are humble, open-minded, and eager to expand their knowledge. We cultivate a culture where everyone feels a sense of ownership over the project and we trust their judgment.
We’re looking for people who share the same outlook and who love RPGs and RPG-hybrids as much as we do. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!
