We're a Montreal, Quebec based indie game studio on the verge of introducing "Smolder No More," our exciting new bullet-hell top-down action game. As we approach the release of our demo, we're expanding our team to include creative and dynamic individuals passionate about video games and player communities.

 

Marketing Director/Community Manager

(No professional experience required): "Smolder No More"

Looking for an exciting game project to sharpen your skills in community management/game marketing? Join us as our Marketing Director/Community Manager to spearhead our outreach and engagement efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy.
  • Liaise with influencers and the gaming community to build excitement and anticipation.
  • Manage our community platforms (Discord, Reddit, TikTok, etc.) and drive our Kickstarter campaign.
  • Craft a unified voice for our game, ensuring it resonates with our target audience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and platforms. Proficiency in content creation for social media, blogs, and press releases.
  • Marketing Expertise: Proven experience in marketing and promotion within the gaming industry or a closely related field. Familiarity with creating and executing marketing strategies that resonate with gaming audiences.
  • Community Engagement: Strong background in building, managing, and engaging online communities across various platforms such as Discord, Reddit, TikTok, and others. Experience with Kickstarter or similar crowdfunding platforms is a plus.
  • Education and Certification: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in digital marketing, social media management, or community engagement are advantageous.

  • Be part of a pioneering project set for a Q1 2025 release, with a demo soon to be unveiled.

  • A hybrid compensation model split between project-based pay and a collaborative revenue-share.
