We're looking for a detail-oriented QA & Playtest Coordinator to lead structured playtesting, support bug tracking and validation, and turn player feedback into actionable insights. You will own the QA process and playtesting logistics, helping ensure our games are polished, fun, and responsive to real player experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and maintain test plans for major features, systems, and content updates.
- Identify, reproduce, and log bugs clearly using our bug tracking tools with detailed steps to reproduce.
- Coordinate and manage remote playtest sessions, including recruiting, scheduling, and communication with participants.
- Design and deploy player feedback forms, surveys, and questionnaires targeting specific gameplay elements.
- Analyze player feedback and bug reports, turning them into structured, actionable insights.
- Create internal dashboards, tables, and charts to visualize QA metrics and player feedback data.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests such as investigating specific gameplay issues (e.g., difficulty) and deliver findings independently.
Requirements:
- Experience in QA testing or playtest coordination within game development.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and regression testing documentation.
- Proficient in using bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, ClickUp, Trello) for logging, reproducing, and categorising issues with clear reproduction steps and priorities.
- Experience managing remote playtests, including recruiting participants, distributing builds, handling NDAs, and scheduling sessions.
- Ability to design and deploy structured player feedback surveys using tools like Google Forms, Typeform, or SurveyMonkey.
- Skilled in analysing player feedback and QA data using spreadsheets or databases to identify patterns, trends, and coverage gaps.
- Experience documenting technical findings, known issues, and QA results in tools like Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs.
Bonus Points:
- Ability to read code and identify specific functions, methods, or lines that may be causing bugs.
- Experience creating dashboards, charts, and visualisations (e.g., in Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, or Bl tools).
- Familiarity with player research practices or UX testing in games.
- Experience scripting or automating parts of the testing or feedback analysis pipeline.
