This role requires an understanding of how these components interact in a live game environment and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and technical artists to ensure smooth, scalable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Feature Planning

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap based on vision, user experience, gameplay balance, and release goals
  • Define core gameplay systems, meta features, and digital economy mechanics
  • Translate high-level concepts into implementable features with user stories and clear success criteria
  • Prioritize backlog based on impact, feasibility, and development bandwidth

Sprint Management & Task Coordination

  • Lead sprint planning, goal setting, and backlog grooming across all departments
  • Create and assign tasks to development and design team members
  • Maintain Trello boards and sprint boards, ensuring workflows are visible and organized
  • Monitor progress throughout the sprint and adapt timelines or priorities as needed

Design & UX Oversight

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to define flows, wireframes, and in-game systems
  • Review and approve UI layouts, interaction designs, and player feedback loops
  • Ensure that design decisions align with overall game vision, technical feasibility, and gameplay flow

Development Coordination

  • Align with developers to confirm feature scope, technical dependencies, and implementation timelines
  • Monitor GitHub activity to verify ongoing development, branch merges, and technical updates
  • Provide feedback on builds and confirm that completed features match intended design

QA & Build Approval

  • Oversee internal testing workflows for both front-end (UX/UI) and gameplay systems
  • Conduct review of live builds and manage approvals before submission
  • Work with the team to triage, prioritize, and resolve bugs or gameplay issues

Cross-Team Leadership

  • Act as the primary point of communication across design, development, animation, and admin teams
  • Coordinate with third-party contributors (sound design, comics, illustrators, etc.) to ensure timely asset delivery
  • Deliver end-of-day summaries and weekly reports to leadership on progress, blockers, and upcoming work

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in a hybrid product/project management role
  • Strong background in Agile or hybrid workflows (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead both technical (developers) and creative (designers/artists) teams
  • Proficiency with Trello or equivalent project management tools
  • Experience managing a game or mobile app from pre-production to submission
  • Ability to write clear feature requirements, user stories, and design documentation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, particularly in remote team environments
  • Familiarity with Unity, GitHub, and mobile build submission pipelines
  • Background in UX/UI, narrative design, 3D/2D game environments or system balancing in games

Technical Stack & Tools:

  • Unity (coordination-level familiarity)
  • Trello (task management)
  • GitHub (commit monitoring and branch tracking)
  • Figma (UX/UI design references)
  • Slack (team communication)
