Hi, I'm ekorz. My first game Chroma Zero was very well received in its niche, and I'm doing pre-production on a new adventure/puzzle/mystery project. This particular listing is for one freelance project, kind of a strange one at that... It would start anytime, I'm certainly ready. The timeline is one which you can help determine.
You see, for this game, I have a specific look & feel in mind, and I want to make sure it's possible to execute in Unreal. The style is simple, geometric, colorful, and relies on texture and noise for some organic complement. I'd send you a few existing 2D images to work from, and the goal is to recreate something similar in 3D, viewable in first-person in Unreal. So, this is kind of a paid style-study, I suppose?
After you see the sample images, I would want you to quote me your fee and give me your desired timeline, and your payment terms. For transparency, I'll be sending you some illustrations by a specific artist who I would actually like to bring onto the project. This project is a test to see if their unique style can function in 3D. Assuming it gets close enough, I'd use this sample to try to recruit them as Art Director, so they can work directly with you during the game's actual production.
To apply, just send an email with a very short introduction and a link to at least one stylized (i.e. not realistic) work you've made. Please note, this any any future contracts will include a clause forbidding the use of AI tools (that will be the case for the whole team, when production starts).
Explore a unique and connected world. Understand its fragile balance, uncover its deepest questions, and find more than just the answers. Chroma Zero immerses you in a universe of mystery, color, energy, and movement, and challenges your expectations and intuition. There are no levels, the puzzles are integrated into the fabric of the space itself, and everything can change in the blink of an eye. Exploration and curiosity are rewarded.
