Senior Unity Developer - Craft Deep, Endless Worlds! (Fully Remote)

Forklift Interactive, a publishing and development studio focused on systemic games, seeks a Senior Unity Developer to craft engaging and complex game systems for a new title. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and a creative problem-solver who enjoys working as part of a small, cross-functional team.

Your Mission:

As our Senior Unity Developer, you will play a crucial role in bringing our game vision to life. You will:

• Work on prototypes: Engage in the rapid creation of playable prototypes to test game mechanics, user interfaces, and overall gameplay flow.
• Build Game Architecture: Shape the technical architecture of the game.
• Develop Gameplay Systems: Implement robust and efficient gameplay mechanics using Unity.
• Collaborate closely with the Design and Art team members: Work with designers to translate their ideas into functional game features.
• Optimize Performance: Ensure smooth and performant gameplay across various platforms.
• Shape Studio Culture: Play a key role in building our studio from the ground up, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience developing and shipping games using Unity.
• Strong C# programming skills.
• Deep understanding of Unity's engine and ecosystem.
• Experience optimizing game performance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Enthusiasm for systemic games.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with good communication skills.
• Experience shipping indie titles with a small team is a plus.
• Experience in building and leading small teams is a plus.
• Timezone close to CET (UTC +1) +/-3h.
