Human Computer is an indie game studio founded by technology veterans and fans of beautifully crafted video games.

We're making games with high production values that are easy to pick up but hard to put down. We want to put out work that make people feel things and create lasting memories while being commercially successful.

Our debut game is entering its production phase, and we're looking for a Producer who can help us bring this baby to life across mobile, Switch, and PC.

Job Description:

We're on the hunt for a Producer who can take our game to completion. You'll be juggling schedules, budgets, and a team of talented (and nice for the most part) programmers and creatives to ensure our game hits the market on time and in top form.

If you're a master of organized chaos and can keep a team motivated without resorting to too much bribery then this role of a lifetime might be for you.

We work hard 4 days a week across timezones. This is a perk that is compatible with a highly productive process. It just needs clear and focused attention this is why we need you. Yes, you, reading this now.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep the production train on the tracks and make sure we hit our milestones.
  • Manage things across timezones.
  • Ensure a process that is productive but doesn’t lead to burn. We’re here for the long haul.
  • Be the communication hub between design, art, programming, QA, and marketing.
  • Manage the budget like it's your own money (because it kind of is).
  • Spot potential issues before they become full-blown disasters.
  • Run team meetings, plan sprints, and keep everyone on the same page.
  • Document and communicate project goals, progress, and any changes.
  • Work with external partners and stakeholders without losing your cool.
  • Keep the team motivated and the environment positive, even when things get tough.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Producer in the game industry, especially with multi-platform games.
  • Project management skills that would make your mom proud.
  • Great communication and people skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies but the stomach to try new things.
  • Budget management and resource allocation expertise.
  • A genuine passion for video games and a deep understanding of how they're made.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with mobile, console, and PC game publishing.
  • Knowledge of Unity.
  • An eye on market trends and player preferences.
  • Understanding of the social landscape for indie gaming (Discord, Twitch, Threads, TikTok etc.)

What We Offer:

  • A creative and collaborative work environment where your ideas matter.
  • A wonderful 4-day workweek. This means a 3-day weekend. It’s nice.
  • Competitive salary and benefits because you deserve it.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options (PST Time Zone Preferred).
  • The chance to play a key role in the launch of a an incredible new game with more to come.
