In 2020, iam8bit evolved into financing and publishing games, with several yet-to-be-announced PC, console and tabletop games on the horizon under its iam8bit Presents imprint. The company is based in Los Angeles and co-owned by Jon M. Gibson and Amanda White.



Our Holiday-season Customer Service Representative will be responsible for researching and responding to all customer service related tickets, processing incoming orders, updating existing orders, directing queries, and issuing replacements and refunds.

We are looking for an individual who excels at written communication and problem solving who can respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. If you're adept at working between multiple browser tabs and have good technical and problem solving skills, then you'll thrive in this work environment. This position requires excellent decision making skills, self-motivation, independent thinking, and a desire to provide excellent customer service while ensuring the needs of the customer and the Company are balanced.

Average email volume is 50-100 inquiries a day. The ideal candidate needs to quickly acquire an understanding of our products and our policies. Position is hybrid, remote with mandatory on-site meetings. Hours are flexible.

The position is open September ‘23 - January ‘24. Shifts for this position are scheduled flexibly based on company needs. There is potential for extension of employment based on performance and the needs of the company at that time.



  • Provide prompt resolution to customer inquiries via Zendesk, including inbound and outbound tickets with customers.
  • Accurately document and update records in our cloud-based shipping and POS systems.
  • Escalate customer complaints and/or emails through the appropriate channel to management and provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Must own a laptop.
  • Deep understanding of Google Docs/Drive, Gmail,MS Office and Spreadsheet creation.
  • Excellent typing (40+ wpm), grammar, organization, and verbal communication skills.
  • Responsible, dependable and organized in all aspects of work.
  • Must be a fast learner and self motivated with the ease of following verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of video game culture is a plus.
