We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Lead with deep enthusiasm for gaming and a strong background in sales, partnerships and industry engagement to spearhead our growth efforts. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in expanding our client base, cultivating strategic relationships, and helping shape the future of this business unit within Impact Reality.
Job Overview:
The Business Development lead is key to Impact Reality's success. You will manage all of the sales activities for the PR & marketing sector of Impact Reality’s multi-pronged business.
We are a leading PR & marketing agency specializing in the gaming industry. Our team works with AAA publishers, indie developers, and gaming brands to deliver high-impact campaigns that connect games with players worldwide. With a blend of creativity, strategy, and industry expertise, we help our clients stand out in a fast-paced and ever-evolving market.
This is a senior role reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, with potential to shape the future direction of our client portfolio and services.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development:
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a robust BD strategy for our PR & marketing business unit aligned with the company’s growth targets and marketing opportunities.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Development: Identify, research and qualify new business opportunities within the VR Gaming and traditional gaming sectors.
- Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach, networking and leveraging existing relationships.
- Optimizing Lead Generation: Tracking, analyzing, and optimize lead generation performance from inbound campaigns, thought leadership content, etc. to ensure consistent pipeline growth.
Sales & Client Acquisition:
- Own the Cycle: Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach and pitch to closing agreements. Finish with the handoff to our operations team.
- Tell the Story: Craft compelling proposals and presentations that showcase Impact Reality’s unique value in VR marketing and PR.
- Structure Deals: Negotiate terms and structure deals that align with the company’s goals while delivering client satisfaction.
- Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Internal Collaboration:
- Be a Team Player: Work closely with the marketing, PR, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of client projects. Shadow and work on client projects from time to time to deeply understand the work product delivered by the PR & marketing teams.
- Be in the Know: Stay on top of VR and gaming industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging market opportunities.
- Strategy: Partner with leadership to forecast revenue, report on pipeline health, and refine business development strategies.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of business development or sales experience in the gaming industry selling PR, marketing, media, or related services
- Proven track record of closing mid-to-large scale contracts and exceeding revenue goals
- Strong network within the gaming industry and demonstrated ability to open doors to senior decision-makers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent google suite or microsoft office skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate opportunities into actionable plans
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Passion for video games and deep knowledge of gaming culture, trends, and communities
- Can do and will do attitude
Nice to Have
- Experience with influencer marketing, esports, or game launches
- Familiarity with international gaming markets
- Experience in agency environment
