We're looking for a Mid/Senior Game Designer with strong Level Design skills to take the lead on puzzle creation, gameplay logic, and systemic design. You’ll shape how players interact with the world — from moment-to-moment decisions to complex co-op challenges.  If you're confident in Multiplayer, Coop, AI Systems, Procedural Generation, and level building and enjoy working in a small remote team — we’d love to hear from you.

We are in the kickoff phase of our new PC title. Our vision is bold, our team is small, and we are building smart. The project is remote, flexible, and creatively open.

🎯 Your Mission

We're looking for a Mid/Senior Game Designer with strong Level Design skills to take the lead on puzzle creation, gameplay logic, and systemic design. You’ll shape how players interact with the world — from moment-to-moment decisions to complex co-op challenges.

 

You will:

  • Design engaging, logical, and cooperative puzzles (single-room and multi-stage)
  • Build or prototype level layouts and game logic in Unreal Engine 5.3+
  • Integrate and iterate on procedural generation systems for level logic and structure
  • Work closely with developers and artists to bring designs to life
  • Balance difficulty curves, item use, and player flow
  • Document systems, mechanics, and puzzle logic clearly

 

 🧠 Requirements

Must-have:

  • 3+ years of experience in game design and level design
  • Fluent English and great communication skills
  • Shipped at least one multiplayer or co-op game
  • Strong portfolio of puzzles, level logic, and game systems
  • Confident in Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints and level scripting)
  • Experience with designing procedural logic or modular level design
  • Deep understanding of gameplay balance, player feedback, and iteration

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with community tools (modding, level editors)
  • Background in technical design or scripting logic
  • Interest in stylized aesthetics and social features

 

🚀 The Project

This is a contract-based remote position, currently in kickoff phase. We’re assembling a compact, senior-leaning team to build a game that mixes:

  • Co-op progression in a layered vertical world (think: descent through the unknown),
  • Smart AI behavior and puzzle-combat hybrids,
  • Dynamic procedural layouts that encourage replayability.

 

🌎 Timezone note:

We are currently only considering candidates based in North America, South America, or Europe due to timezone overlap.
