We're currently seeking a talented professional to lead our Games Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our core Games funds and associated programs, working closely with our Content & Operations teams. In this role, you'll oversee the assessment of funding applications, manage funded projects, and engage with game makers, interactive content creators, and industry professionals to ensure successful project delivery. This position may see the successful candidate representing Screen Australia at various festivals, conferences and panels around Australia and Internationally.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices. It is offered as a full-time, two-year contract.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Game Design, Development or relevant work experience
• Extensive experience and a proven track record in interactive and game development.
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian and international games sectors.
• Strong ability to assess concepts, prototypes, and proposals.
• Capacity to make impactful decisions based on sound judgment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in public speaking and representation.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

To hit the ground running, you will be a skilled creative leader with a passion for and a deep understanding of the games industry. Additionally, you will exhibit sound creative judgment and a proven track record of objectively evaluating ideas and proposals to make fair and impartial decisions.
