Programmer Wanted for Cozy Fishing Game

We are the makers of Cast n Chill, a cozy fishing game focused on calm, mindful play.

We are crafters who care deeply about detail and finish. We believe in quality over quantity, and our mission is to create peaceful games that help people slow down and relax.

We are looking for an experienced programmer who loves high-quality cozy games and wants to help grow Cast n Chill through future DLC, new features, fan-requested polish, and expansion to additional platforms including mobile, Xbox, and PlayStation.

This is a remote contract role that begins with a trial phase, with the intention to grow into an ongoing collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

• Implementing new gameplay features
• Developing DLC, including programming and gameplay balancing
• Porting and supporting builds for mobile and console platforms
• Integrating (and adjusting where needed) art/ui/animations from Aseprite into Unity

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Unity & C#
• Solid gameplay programming skills
• Strong technical programming ability
• Self-managed and autonomous working style
• Professional experience working at a game studio for at least one year

Location & Hours

• Fully remote
• Flexible hours, ideally 32 hours or more per week

Bonus Points

• You have shipped your own game previously
• You have game design/balancing credits
• You have experience porting games to consoles or mobile
• You have worked remotely as part of a distributed team
• You enjoy fishing games or the cozy game genre
