The Video Producer will be responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining video marketing assets. The post holder will have a significant degree of autonomy and, therefore, will be expected to deeply understand the vision and goal for each project, including its value proposition, messaging, positioning and tone. This role requires being able to produce high-quality content at a good pace and with minimal supervision.

  • Collaborates with the wider team to conceptualise and deliver key marketing assets, including social videos, trailers and platform assets.
  • Delivers relevant, impactful and incisive content in the best-optimised formats for platforms such as TikTok, Twitter, YouTube (inc Shorts) etc.
  • Able to create suitable art assets or adjust pre-existing art to meet a given brief, including increased impact and impressions on social media platforms.
  • Work with colleagues to create concepts that will resonate with our audiences.
  • Capable of adjusting and optimising assets for websites, social media, promotions, and digital storefronts to meet broader marketing objectives and tasks.
  • Provides meaningful insight to overall content strategy across our titles and business.

Experience / Skills

  • The candidate who will bring this role home is someone who can show a track record of creative flair in the medium of video content, a passion for indie games, and a solid understanding of the video games industry and how gamers engage with industry content across different social media platforms.
  • A competent understanding of how to market indie games of different genres and styles, how to make such content become more visible to their target markets, and how content marketing efforts can convert to sales.
  • Communicates in fluent spoken English, and is able to provide confident and engaging voice-over for their produced content. (Accents are not an influencing factor as long as your English diction is clear and 10/10 viewers would understand you without subtitles.)
  • Highly competent with video editing software. A portfolio of prior work (whether personal or professional work) must be submitted together with your job application.
  • Knowledge of the requirements and limitations of design for vertical/mobile short-form video.
  • Possess a meticulous attention to detail and/or have processes in place to ensure your deliverables are generally free of typos or other careless mistakes.
  • Confident in typography, colour theory, and image composition.
  • Is able to follow external creative direction and briefs (especially working with external developers and IPs) and work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Possess strong project and time management skills, with the ability to self-motivate and take appropriate initiative. Able to ask for guidance in the absence of sensible instructions.
  • Is a team player, ie. confident yet empathetic communication skills and a supportive, responsive attitude that facilitates straightforward collaboration with teammates.
  • Be able to create your own processes to ease pain points for you, your team and the company as a whole.
  • Proficiency with a second language that provides sufficient competency to confidently produce and narrate video content in that language is desirable, but not essential. Our preference for such languages would relate to our non-English-speaking audience domains, such as (but not limited to) Japanese, Chinese, French or German.
