Beck Interactive Partners is hiring a Developer Partner Manager to be the main contact and strategic partner for indie developers we represent. If you're the type who can turn chaos into momentum and actually gets things done without needing your hand held, we want to hear from you.

About Beck Interactive Partners

BIP is a boutique agency that works with standout developers and packages games with Hollywood actors and creators to unlock publishing and investment deals.

About the Role: Developer Partner Manager (Account Manager)

We already help incredible indie games — the real work is shaping their story, positioning, and presentation so the right partners can see what makes them special.

That’s where you come in.

🎯 BIP’s Mission: BIP parnters exceptional indie/AA developers with cultural gravity (talent, IP, creators) to secure the best publishing and financing outcomes - TL:DR: we help special games get funding and cultural firepower.

BIP is a boutique games agency that blends Hollywood packaging with games dealmaking. We help teams raise, close, and ship by pairing the right projects with the right publishers, platforms, and financiers — often with celebrity/creator attachments to unlock PR, distribution, and leverage.

So what is this role?

We’re growing fast. That’s where you come in.

This is BIP’s Developer Partner Manager (think: Account Manager with producer instincts).

You’ll own the journey from “new client” → “financing term sheet,” and keep clients confident, informed, and moving.

You’ll be the primary point of contact for the developers we represent — running point on everything from onboarding to ongoing deal progress. You’ll translate between creative teams and the business side, ensuring every client feels supported, informed, and confident that BIP is moving their project forward.

You’re not “support.” You’re the face of BIP to our developers — the person they call first when something needs clarity, momentum, or reality-checking.

This is not a passive “keep the calendar updated” role. It’s operator energy: helping shape creative strategy, pre-writing replies, triaging publisher notes, and getting to yes.

What You’ll Tactically Do

  • 🤝 Run point with our clients/developers: act as the day-to-day contact and strategic partner; balance empathy with firmness; keep communication clear and timelines honest.
  • 🧾 Contract Coordination: manage the onboarding legal process for new developer partners. Ensure all documents are signed, filed, and logged in the CRM before active work begins.
  • 🧭 Onboard (1–2 weeks per title):, Work with our designer to create materials, market position; define pitch thesis; fill gaps fast.
  • ✉️ Own the outbound rhythm: send games to our buyers, track opens/replies/follow ups, book calls, pre-wire objections.
  • 🎙️ Call prep & follow-through: talking points, demo beats, likely objections; after-call memos with actions + assigns.
  • 🧠 Issue management: convert vague publisher feedback into a concrete change list (scope, timeline, metrics).
  • 📊 Pipeline hygiene: maintain tracker/CRM status, next steps, weekly report with risks and asks.
  • 🤝 Dev trust: be empathetic, direct, and available; no surprises; set expectations on timelines and deal reality.
  • 🧪 SOP feedback loop: improve checklists, snippets, and templates (make the next deal better/faster).

Why This Role (and why now)

  • Leverage point: Our bottleneck isn’t deal flow — it’s transforming promising games into publisher-ready games and keeping a fast, disciplined outbound rhythm.
  • Surface area: You’ll have fingerprints on budgets, positioning, materials, and calls — end-to-end impact.
  • Speed culture: We ship fast, tell the truth, and don’t waste anyone’s time — including yours.

The Rubric (what we actually are looking for)

We’re hiring a DPM that will leave it all on the floor for our clients, and their universes.

Must Have

  • 1-3 years as a producer role at a publisher or platform — or equivalent experience evaluating games for funding decisions
  • Deep knowledge of the indie/AA steam games space and get excited about a wide variety of genres
  • You absolutely love games and game makers
  • Strong written comms; you can write the email we’d send (not just draft notes)
  • Lives well in low-context, high-ambiguity. You finish things regardless of having all of the info or not.
  • Bias for action: ASAP is your default ship time
  • Owner mentality: if it’s yours, you make it happen
  • Calm with creatives: high empathy, zero flattery
  • Taste: You know what’s hot right now and what “great” in games looks like

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the games business. I.e budgets/milestones/recoup math
  • Familiarity with game production cycles
  • Basic game capture & asset wrangling
  • Experience with creator/celebrity attachments
  • Crystallizer: turns fuzzy criticism into exact change requests
  • Aesthetic eye: slide and key art polish
  • Team amplifier: raises the bar around you

What Success Looks Like

Month 1 — You’ve earned developer trust and shipped clean onboarding. Contracts, decks, and assets are done and you’re running first publisher waves with zero hand-holding.

Month 2 — You’re the engine. Publishers know your name, decks are tightening, and your outbound cadence runs itself. You’re feeding real insights back into our templates and SOPs.

Month 3 — You’ve taken multiple titles through full-cycle pitches. One is closing and you’ve made our process faster, sharper, and smarter.

KPIs:

  • Speed: days from materials ready → first publisher wave
  • Conversion: percentage of titles that reach diligence or receive a term sheet
  • Trust: developer satisfaction and clarity of communication (qualitative feedback)

Compensation & Location

  • Location: Remote-friendly with core hours in US Central. (International Candidates ok!)
  • Compensation: $15-25 per hour
  • Hours: 15-25 hours per week with a path for fulltime.

Show us you can move deals forward, keep developers confident, and make the machine run - and we’ll find ways to grow your role fast.

🧬 Cultural Bar

We hire people who own outcomes, not tasks

At BIP, our goal is to operate like a high-trust creative studio — small, fast, and obsessed with great outcomes for our clients and ourselves. Our values aren’t wall art; they’re operating principles we actually use to decide who joins us and how we work.

  • Speed over ceremony. Done today beats perfect next week.
  • Clarity is kindness. We tell the truth with care, early and directly.
  • Taste matters. We only back work we believe has cultural gravity.
  • Reputation is everything. How we operate today determines tomorrow’s success.
  • Whatever it takes. No egos, no silos - just making it happen for our developers, whatever it takes. In the below loom video, talk about your approach to this.

If those values make you nod, not flinch — you’ll fit here.

How to Apply

Send a 2–3 min loom or video tell us about you and answers to the following questions:

  1. Walk me through a recent indie game that nailed its positioning. What did they get right about how they told their story to publishers or press?
  2. Pull up a Steam page for a game you think undersells itself (bonus points if it's relatively unknown). Walk us through what's not working and what you'd change first. Then pitch the game to us in two sentences.
  3. Tell me about a time you jumped into a messy situation where you didn't have full context - maybe a project mid-crisis, a handoff with no documentation, or a meeting where everyone assumed you knew the backstory. What was your first move and what happened?
