Firesquid is looking for a data-driven Marketing Specialist to join our fast-growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in the video game industry and gain exposure to various aspects of marketing.

As a marketing specialist, you will be integrated into the marketing department to help them in the daily management of Firesquid’s games, from their signatures to their releases (market research, providers management, planning, advertising...).

You’ll have the opportunity to see both sides of the industry: you’ll work mainly for Firesquid, our indie strategy games publisher, and from time to time, its sister company: Lightbulb Crew, the development studio behind Othercide.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Conduct and analyze market research data to define product positioning, as well as monitor competitive activity and identify consumer needs;
• Contribute, maintain and execute integrated Go to Market plans across traditional and emerging channels, using all marketing levers(especially);
• Collaborate with the marketing team on key deliverables regarding the entire branding life cycle of a product;
• Assist with the development of game assets (trailers, demos, screenshots...), and ensure that your assets are translated into the constitutive elements of the game, such as universe, characters, and actions;
• You’ll be asked to occasionally create some visuals;
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

The ideal person for the job has:

• An educational background focused on marketing;
• Good knowledge of Photoshop;
• Basic knowledge in advertisement on Social media;
• Good communication skills (not afraid to speak publicly);
• Great team player with a can-do attitude, passionate, committed with a high level of initiative;
• A strong interest in the video game industry, especially in strategy games;
• Fluent in English (mandatory);
• Notions of French (B1/B2).

Bonus points:

• Previous professional experience in the video game industry entertainment industry;
• Knowledge of g-suit and especially g-sheet (basic function VLOOKUP / Pivot table);
• Steam page management knowledge.
