Founded in 2019, Fluffy Dog Studio is a small independent game studio founded in Vancouver, Canada. Now fully remote, we have employees across North America.

We are currently seeking an experienced Game Design Lead to join our rapidly growing team working on the ongoing development of flagship Neopets products! The role will also be critical in guiding the development of our future original IPs.

The Game Design Lead will work with stakeholders from all teams in order to carry out the best and most engaging versions of our projects, while aligning design decisions with our product vision.

What you’ll do:

• Work collaboratively with designers and help create experiences that many audiences will love.
• Provide input to overall game direction and be called upon to make key decisions.
• Lead design brainstorming sessions and provide constructive feedback in Design Reviews.
• Participate in playtests, give feedback and provide input on how we can make the game better.
• Help create clear and complete game design documentation for game content and features.
• Help define team workflows and practices to streamline productivity and creativity.
• Mentor and provide leadership to other members of the Game Design team.
• Manage design sprint planning and resources across projects.

What you know/have:

• 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry as a Game Designer.
• S-Tier design documentation abilities.
• Maxed out on your communication stats.
• High agility for schedule changes and can respect at a moment’s notice.
• Rich character backstory that features computer, mobile, and console games.
• Low defense and offense stats when giving and taking feedback.
• Unlocked some perks in the Unity Engine skill tree.
