GameName LLC is seeking a Game Producer to help keep our development pipelines moving smoothly across two upcoming indie games.

You'll work closely with our Creative Director, team leads, and cross-disciplinary developers to manage tasks, track milestones, and ensure communication is clear and effective across both projects.

This is a remote, part-time contract role (10-20 hrs/week) and a great opportunity for someone with solid professional experience seeking part-time work, or someone early in their production career ready to prove themselves. While we work mostly async and flexibly, our team spans the U.S. (West to East Coast), with daily standup calls at 9am MST and weekly sprint planning every Wednesday.

You'll play a key role in helping define goals, break down tasks, follow up on progress, and support documentation and workflows across both teams. If you love organizing chaos into clarity, this is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across multiple teams to keep task tracking, sprint planning, and milestones on track
  • Maintain and update project boards in Codecks (our current core task management system, but we are open to other suggestions)
  • Break down creative ideas into manageable tasks and logical development steps
  • Follow up with teammates to ensure task status, dependencies, and blockers are communicated
  • Assist in preparing agendas and notes for standups, sprint planning, and team meetings
  • Help enforce naming conventions, asset management processes, and version backups
  • Support high-level scheduling, timelines, and reporting for studio leadership
  • Communicate clearly, frequently, and empathetically--reading between the lines to catch what isnt said and help the team perform at their best!

Qualifications

  • Experience using project management tools (were currently using Codecks and Notion, but open to alternative suggestions).
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile methods and sprint-based workflows (currently doing weekly runs)
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and keep others aligned without micromanaging
  • Strong interpersonal awareness--you can sense when someone is stuck even if they dont say it
  • Proactive about solving problems, not just identifying them

Bonus Points:

  • Direct experience with Codecks (or quick learner with strong PM tool experience)
  • Familiarity with Notion, Figma, collaborative whiteboarding tools
  • Comfortable working remotely in a semi-async, cross-timezone team
  • Understanding of game development workflows and terminology
  • Passion for creative media, games, or animation projects

Contract Terms

  • Type: Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA)
  • Hours: Part-Time (10-20 hrs/week), flexible schedule with core overlap around 9am MST
  • Rate: $25-45/hr USD, depending on experience, skills, region
  • Trial Period: Initial one month evaluation phase
  • Contract Duration: Project-based, with potential for extension or evolution into a larger role

Perks & Culture

  • 100% remote team with flexible work hours
  • Work on two wildly creative indie game projects with a fun team
  • Friendly, supportive studio culture that values clarity, practicality, and initiative
  • Backed by a major content creator with strong marketing reach
  • Opportunity to grow into a larger production or operations role as the studio scales

How to Apply

1. A short personal intro plus your answer to this question: Why do you think you'd be an excellent producer for our team and projects?
