Hi! I'm Jamie. I'm trying to take my one shot at a life goal of mine, making a fun game that leaves players with something to take away in their heart. I want this game to leave a lasting impression but also be a quick playthrough that players come back to time and time again. The battle system is a fun twist on your typical turn-based RPG games. Instead of the enemy having a typical turn, it will put you into a timed mini game which will decide the outcome of said turn.
I'm looking to hire programmer(s) who are able to create a very short prototype of a battle system I have in mind.
Skills and Experience :
As the project will be done in GameMaker Studio, I am looking for developers who have knowledge about that as well as the capabilities to incorporate multiple genres of gameplay that blend together smoothly. I require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently but also adapt to input.
Deliverables :
As the focus of the prototype will be validation for how smooth the battle system feels to play, visuals are not yet a concern for this deliverable. If I like your work, I will be considering you for the main project!
We are expecting a PC format with possibility of going to Switch.
